Every year the guild dedicates one meeting to the creation of a Patriot Quilt to honor a local veteran or service person for their service.  The Patriot Quilt committee provides the fabric, design and instructions for the quilt. The guild then teams up with the America Legion GI Joe Post 244 in Jeffersontown for a formal presentation ceremony the second Thursday in November.

Guild members are also encouraged to make and donate patriotic themed quilts (if they wish) enabling us to honor multiple recipients each year. The Patriot Quilt Committee is looking for a few people to come along side us and work with us on the making and presenting of the quilt that the guild makes every year (with the anticipation of taking over after this coming year).
