Happy Holidays!
What a wonderful time we had at our annual holiday party. It was great to see so many old friends and welcome new ones, as well. We look forward to an amazing year of quilting and programs in 2022 and hope you will join us. Be sure to scroll to the bottom of this post for all the beautiful show and tell.
Robbie did an amazing job with the decorations and desserts! Thanks, Robbie! After dessert, we played several rounds of BYOB (bring your own buttons) Quilt Bingo. Does anyone have FMQ or Fray? It was a lot of fun and surprisingly competitive.
A few project updates:
Linda provided a summary of our Patriot Quilt presentation from Nov. 17th. The recipients were very moved by the presentation of the quilts and expressed their deep appreciation for being selected.
The Cuddle Care team has dropped off well over 700 quilts, that guild members have made, to the Norton Children’s Hospital this year… and they’ve got a great start on next year, already.
The 4th annual Children’s Quilt Show will be held in July 2022. If you are interested in helping with the project, please let Kim know.
Linda, Pam and Vivian shared details about a class they took on the Manx Quilt Block. This is similar to a Log Cabin block, but you don’t need any special tools, rulers, etc. to make them.
Show and Tell was AMAZING! Check out all these beautiful quilts.
Pam’s Carpenter Wheel class was obviously quilt popular.
What a year! From Zoom meetings and online classes to finally getting back together in person, it’s been a roller coaster ride. Together we’ve made it through and come out stronger for it. We wish you all the best and much happiness in the new year, and can hardly wait until we’re back together in January.
Happy Holidays!
