September 19, 2019 – Cuddle Care

At the last Cuddle Care meeting members made squares utilizing the Quilt-As-You-Go technique.  At this meeting members were shown how to add a sashing to complete quilts for the Children’s Hospital.

Thanks to Debbie for taking pictures in my absence.  She sent several photos of members hard at work.  Please take note of the seam rippers being used.  She said they had a great time with their boo boo breaks and getting good use of Jack the Ripper.

Stay tuned for final results after multiple encounters with Jack the Ripper during the completion of quilt as you go technique.

Quilt of Valor

Robbie pieced together the blocks that were made in the summer Quilt of Valor meeting, and it was sent to quilter Kim for her beautiful finishing touches.

Sew and Tell

Adorable autumn wall hanging by Susan.  She even did her own Free Motion Quilting!

Brenda F. has been on vacation and we were overjoyed to have her back.  This beautiful quilt was the result of a fabric exchange with international quilters.  She even shared life’s experiences with these quilters.  What a story!

This beauty, made by Susan H., was completed using the Wacky Squares in a Square technique Luann recently taught.

Over 3,000 yo-yo’s!!  It took Arlene almost a year to make this beauty.  She was saying many prayers during the last 100 for the encouragement to finish!

Seventeen completed Cuddle Care quilts were turned in!

Piecefully yours,

Luann
