The first Thursday in August is traditionally the time for celebrating the birthday of Louisville Nimble Thimbles. This year was extra special because it is LNT’s 40th birthday! We celebrated with loads of food and special guests who were members 40 years ago during the founding of LNT.
Sew-and-Tell
Kim has gone to town with her new long-arm machine. Hard to believe she is a beginning long-armer! The back is as beautiful as the front!
Susan shared a lightweight quilt that had been used as a coverlet in a friend’s cabin. The owner wanted the quilt to be cut apart and made into pillows. The group decided the quilt was just to lovely to attack with a pair of scissors.
Robbie did an outstanding job as Hospitality Chair! The hot-air balloon centerpieces are reflective of the logo for LNT. She made rotary cutter holders for each person present, and we each received a heavy-duty LNT sewing machine tag!
The birthday party is the first of many events in August, so stay tuned!
Piecefully yours,
Luann
