June 27, 2019 – Trip to Liberty, Kentucky

After only a few misadventures and miscommunications along the way, six cars loaded with 25 LNT members arrived at Liberty, Kentucky, just in time for our scheduled lunch at the Bread of Life Restaurant, owned and operated by the Galileans Children’s Home.   Mmmmm – Good home cooking filled our tummies, but instead of taking an afternoon nap (which we most all dearly love), we ventured down the road to the new location of The Quilters’ Trunk Sewing Center.  They were well-stocked and had extra help available to assist with our purchases.  Afterwards we drove just a bit further to the Amish owned Sunny Valley Country Store, and enjoyed perusing, and buying, some of their diverse offerings including handmade items, dry goods, canned goods, specialty items, and more.  Considering the heat index seemed to be nearing the three digits, many of us cooled ourselves with their soft-serve ice cream.  Even heading home there were still more adventures relating to a flat tire.  All-in-all, it was a tremendous trip with lots of laughter and purchases.  And that’s all we really needed.

Stay coo!

Piecefully yours,

Luann
