Robbie chose a lovely pattern for this year’s Quilt of Valor. She prepared 30 small Friendship Star blocks and cut strips of red, white, and blue. Members finished the block by sewing the strips around the perimeter to make large Log Cabin blocks.
Oops! (This happens to all of us.)
Here’s what four blocks look like just laying in a square on the floor. It will be beautiful when all thirty blocks are sewn together!
Thanks for preparing and helping us with our QOV meeting, Robbie! We look forward to seeing the completed quilt and presenting it to a veteran this fall.
SEW and TELL
Arlene showed us this bag she made to carry her mats. Plans are for her to share this with us in the future.
Mary has gotten carried away making Nine-Patch Cuddle Care quilt tops. Here are just a few.
Kim’s staying busy with quilting many of the Cuddle Care quilts. She does lovely work. Here is the back of a quilt plus a close up of her free motion.
We will not have a meeting the first Thursday of July because it falls on the 4th.
Piecefully yours,
Luann
