The Cuddle Care Committee has outdone themselves again! Today we learned the Quilt-As-You-Go technique. The committee prepared the backing, batting, and strips for the blocks, and members just sewed away to make 16″ squares for the charity quilts.
In addition to the sewers, there were also pressers and cutters who further prepared the blocks for quilts.
While the larger group worked on the blocks, Debbie worked with a small group on Free Motion Quilting. The completed 9-block quilt will have 8 blocks of stripes and a free motioned center block.
Thank you, Cuddle Care Committee!
Members completed 52 blocks! Sashing to connect the blocks will be taught at the September 19th meeting.
The committee is greatly appreciative of the membership’s enthusiasm!
