October 4, 2018 – Oh, Christmas Tree

Susan, one of our guild members, is one of the most creative people I know.  She got this idea about a quilted 3-D Christmas tree while browsing at the Christmas goods at a hobby store, and made it happen.  Members quilted Christmas fabrics on both sides of a thick stabilizer, cut out 2 trees, one with a slit in the top and the other with a slit in the bottom, zig-zagged around the edges, and slid them together to make the cutest little tree.  Most of us will need to finish the zig-zagging at home, but it was a quick holiday project.  Thank you, Susan!

It was a super easy project, and Debbie’s niece joined in the fun.

SEW-AND-TELL

One of the Cuddle Care tops we made at the last meeting now has the black and red border and has been quilted, and is ready to be bound.  The border certainly does frame it nicely.

Brenda’s talented husband made the wood hanger for the Christmas tree hanging.

Angelique shared this beautiful City Block quilt designed by Tula Pink.  It contains 100 six inch blocks.
