Weaving fabric was a very relaxing project for the end of a long day. Strips of fabric of varying widths (or the same width) were woven together, to be pressed to interfacing to prepare them to be used in a project, such as place mats, hanging, purse, quilt, etc. The only limit is your imagination! Thanks, Angelique, for teaching this class!
At one of our dinners last year, Shirley won a stack of appliqué blocks. She shared the beautiful quilt made from them.
Congratulations to Terrie on her first quilt, all machine pieced and quilted! From the looks of this quilt, I’d think she was a very seasoned quilter!
We were glad to have Susan’s sister Ann visiting. She shared two recently completed projects.
Ann was also involved in a group project in which each person created 1/4 of a quilt, then the four pieces were assemble into the full quilt. Susan shared a printed picture of the completed quilt.
As usual, there were several quilts or quilt-tops to donate to Cuddle Care.
At our next meeting at 10:00 a.m. on April 19, Marilou will teach us how to make a table runner called “The Zipper”. No, it doesn’t have a zipper in it; the pattern just resembles a zipper. You can find a list of supplies under “Meetings” and “Programs”
Piecefully yours,
Luann
