March 1, 2018 – New Quilting Products

Entering the Jeffersonian was a treat tonight!  The Cuddle Care Committee arrived early to cover the walls with the quilt tops made at the Cuddle Care meeting in January.  Notice the backgrounds in the pictures and you’ll see why we have been so excited about making the nine-patch quilts this year.  These beautiful quilt tops will be quilted in July at our annual Cuddle Care-athon at Quilted Joy.  Thank you Debbie, Debbie, and Betty, for helping us with one of our charitable endeavors!

Thanks to Barbara (owner of the Cozy Quilter Quilt Shop in Middletown) and Irene for sharing and giving information on many useful, amazing, and necessary products on the market to make our quilting so much more precise and enjoyable!

Polly shared a couple quilts she made for Cuddle Care, along with a great idea.  Because she was lacking two pin-wheel blocks, she substituted Mickie and Minnie Mouse for the corner blocks.  How cute!

Sandy share a couple purchases she made at QDO.

Kim brought the quilt that won first place in the Wall Hanging Nine-Patch division at QDO.  Stunning quilt and amazing quilting!

There are so many ways to finish a panel!  This Charlie Brown panel is cute by itself, but was enhanced with bold zig-zags and borders to become an even more adorable quilt that would excite any child.

Shirley’s Kaleidoscope Quilt blocks really pop against the jewel toned purple background.  Each block is more beautiful than the other, and with the wide ribbon border, this quilt is really a work of art!

And, as always, we were happy to have our youngest member in attendance!

Piecefully yours,

Luann
