Susan showed how to create some beautiful fabrics using a bleaching agent and a stencil to remove the dye on pre-dyed fabric. The bleached patterns can then be enhanced with colored pencils, water colors, paint, or markers. Thanks, Susan, for enlightening us with this bleaching process!

Bill is getting into the Halloween “spirit” with two wall hangings.
Bill also shared a quilt given to him by a friend. The quilt, made in the 30’s had been in the friend’s family for many years. She also gave him a picture of the family member who quilted it as well as a historical document. What a treasure!
Polly received with a Crafty order these colorful charm squares, which made a perfect Cuddle Care quilt top.
Marilou shared this log cabin style quilt that she will be teaching in an upcoming class at The Needle Arts Center. It’s a boat!
Two weeks ago Marilou taught us how to make the Reindeer Christmas Tree. A quilt-top and a completed quilt were shared tonight. All the reindeer quilts will be displayed at our Christmas dinner in December.
Betty was a member 17 years ago, and we’re glad to have her back. She brought several pieces she’s made over the years.
Lovely appliqué and hand quilting!
