It was our pleasure to have Jane Adolf, a local modern quilter, present our program.  She shared with us, through both a slide presentation and a trunk show of her quilts, some of the elements that define modern quilting and examples of how traditional quilting has been reinterpreted.  As you view her quilts, you will see how she used fabric selection, contrast, quilting motifs, improvisational piecing, minimalism, and use of negative space in creating a contemporary piece or to give a modern look to an otherwise traditional quilt.
