Several LNT members participated in the Invasion of the Monster Dolls at the Kentucky State Fair Saturday afternoon.  For their unique creations, children of all ages were invited to choose a body (fabric), eyes (buttons), and hair (more fabric).  Volunteers assisted with these difficult choices and then completed the monster dolls by sewing on the eyes (or in some cases, the eye) and the hair, stuffing the doll (including a belly button), and finishing up with a seam to hold all the innards inside.  The volunteers enjoyed the event as much as the children!  If you want to join the fun at the Monster Invasion next Saturday afternoon, August 26, contact Susan Hoferkamp.
